This guest house was in a great spot, very close to the shopping district. All shops close at 5pm, so we walked near the train station for dinner, about a 15‑minute walk. The room and common areas were very clean. The onsen baths were nice; we only used the outdoor bath, which was pretty, private and relaxing. We stayed in a Japanese‑style room with a futon. The bedding was clean and fresh. The futon was quite thin, making it a firm bed. I wish we’d thought to double them up using the spare futon in the closet. The staff were very helpful and polite on the phone when I checked in. We would stay here again. The thin futon made for a firm bed and restless sleep; I would double them if I stayed again. The pillow and duvet were very nice and the towels were lovely.

“Overall, very disappointing and far too expensive for what you get.”

We liked the onsen and the Wi‑Fi, but the value was terrible. We were two people and only got blankets and sheets for one. I called the hotel at 6 PM and didn’t hear back until 2 PM the next day, so getting help was almost impossible. Because of that, we couldn’t shower and had to sleep without proper bedding. The futons were uncomfortable and the walls were so thin you could hear everything.

The location was good, but the mattress… the bed quality… everything felt old.
