“Stay in another lodge at the reserve. You are treated poorly at cheetah ridge”

The reserve was great, but the hospitality at Cheetah Ridge, especially from the lodge manager, was poor. Stay at another lodge like Ndaka instead. Two people in particular—the lodge manager and the 'private chef'—had terrible attitudes and ruined the stay. The food was low quality for the price, and what was offered on day one felt like boiled meat. For our family of nine, we were told we could order only one protein, even though everyone had different preferences. We’d already listed dietary requirements before arrival, and an employee called to confirm that they were taken care of, mentioning an à‑la‑carte menu, but the food served was different from what was promised, and the menu even excluded our dietary needs. It’s wise to insist on email confirmation and not take their calls as final. When we raised the issue about the food restriction, the manager and chef were aggressive. The manager never gave me a direct line to speak with him, yet kept telling me to talk to him while pointing to other staff all day. He even said, “I’m in a mood to fight,” without trying to solve anything. I never raised my voice, yet he approached my family aggressively after we posted a review on Google and in the farmhouse’s book, demanding we delete it. Other lodges in the reserve offer far better hospitality.

Everything. The staff, Lebo, Tato, Clarence, Kimmie were wonderful and so friendly, helpful. Lebo was knowledgeable, funny and patient, couldn't recommend him more highly for a guide. Saw 4 of the big 5, only missed the elusive leopard

“Our new Hone away from home.”

The attention to detail was exceptional; the staff treated us like royalty and truly went beyond my expectations. The facilities feel super modern and comfortable, and the kitchen service was superb. Prices were a bit high, but the value is evident.

I liked that the suites have been updated with modern finishes. All aspects of the lodge were great
