“We loved it!”

The property was lovely, rural, quiet and calm. It was also a good base for visits to Oxford, Blenheim, Cotswolds, Newbold College, Virginia Waters and other places we wanted to see. The nearby town of Wallingford was charming and worth a visit. The Garden Room was a small annex in the garden attached to a larger house. It was inviting, clean and well maintained. Simple and elegant, reflecting good taste in quality. The owners sent a longer pleasant message before the stay with useful information and were quick to reply if we had questions. We are very satisfied.

I stayed in a quiet corner of the main house, and it was genuinely silent, no road noise at all. There was a sitting‑out area, but we left it because it was cold during our visit. The hosts had prepared everything nicely; the cottage was warm when we arrived, tea and coffee were plentiful, and several bottles of fresh water were waiting for us.

“Most Enjoyable”

Privacy was good, heaters and appliances were nice, fridge and microwave were present, and adding a toaster would be a nice touch. The room needs a shelf in the shower for soap, flannel, and shampoo, and there’s no bin in the room—only in the bathroom.

“Clean comfortable and quiet”

It’s not far from Wallingford where we were staying; the bedding was nice, the bed was comfy and quiet, and the room was very clean. Fruit teas and decaf coffee were a good choice. There were no complimentary toiletries or welcome gifts, such as biscuits.
