The room was spotless and roomy, and its proximity to the ferry meant we could walk instead of paying for parking. The only downside was the front parking lot, which is tiny and can be occupied by a single car that takes up two spots, though there is a back parking area available.

This hotel is lovely! Our room featured a deck with a fantastic view of the lake, was spacious, and the bathroom had recently been updated with great water pressure, fluffy towels, a microwave, and a fridge. The manager was very helpful, friendly, and clearly cares about guests’ experiences. We were exhausted after a long road trip, so being able to donate a load of laundry for just $1 wash and $1 dry was a huge relief. I highly recommend staying here—just a short walk to the Mackinac Island ferries. I wish I had asked for a soft pillow.

The room was clean and the morning desk clerk was friendly. We were under the impression we were booking a suite based on the description and price, but ended up with a small, overpriced room and no suites were actually available—the word “suite” had even been removed from the hotel’s sign. The exterior locks were broken: the door nearest our room wouldn’t unlock, and the other exterior door didn’t lock at all. The pool and spa were drained and out of service. The evening desk clerk was rude and offered no information, forcing us to return to the desk three times because our key cards wouldn’t work.

The staff were excellent and the location is great; the room is small but neat and clean. The TV, however, was not good—just a basic network TV.

The rooms are very dirty and outdated for the price I paid of 252.00. There was makeup, coins, and trash under the couch—absolutely disgusting. Cleaning and updating are needed.
