The village is cozy and check‑in was simple, but the door closers were too loud and the whole house rattled whenever a room door was shut.

The rooms were very Spartan with bed rails that weren’t even secured to the beds and would tip over as soon as you moved them; no staff were visible, the kitchen was cramped so only one group could fit at a time, it was extremely expensive for such minimalism, and the basement gym was uninviting—better to remove it entirely. I won’t return.

The hostel has a very special, cozy and personalized setup. Right behind the building the forest starts, where at that time you could gather an incredible amount of blueberries. The immediate proximity to a small lake and many beautiful sightseeing spots in dreamy nature makes this place, with its family‑like atmosphere, something special. Even Vättern Lake was quickly reachable after a short walk. We felt very comfortable. Of course you have to accept limited and shared bathroom facilities and deal with the fact that not everyone always behaves considerately – but that’s a matter of people, not this great accommodation.
