The staff were super attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. The place itself is pretty, but the bathroom could use a bit more cleaning – we found a lot of ants there, though we let them know and they promised to sort it out.

The family that runs the hotel are incredibly warm, and they’ve set up a water filter and a kitchen for guests. Breakfast is solid, and the surrounding cacao, avocado, mango and other fruit trees make for a beautiful setting – the cacao tour is a must. The rooms have everything you need.

What an amazing spot – I started with a four‑day stay and ended up staying weeks. The house is quiet with a lovely garden, and crossing the river gets you to the road and bus to Santa Marta and Palomino. Breakfast is served daily in a cozy family vibe, the room is comfy with a mosquito net and all the bathroom basics, and the welcome is warm. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Alejandro kept us in the loop and answered all our questions fast, and Jade was incredibly kind and generous. The setting is gorgeous nature, though the rooms lack a small table or trays and the walls aren’t well insulated, so noise can be an issue. We only wish we could have stayed longer than two nights.

This B&B feels like a breath of pure nature, with exotic plants, animal sounds, wind and a river that make it deeply relaxing. The staff – Johnny, his brothers, the cooking mother, Jules, Eduardo and friends – are warm, helpful and make you feel at home from the start, and the location is perfect for a quick bus to the beach or the national park.
