“I would stay again if the food improved , everything else was good”
The beer was great and the room was fine, but the food was awful – the roast‑beef dinner was cold.

The catering was decent; as a pub/restaurant I’d rate it pretty well. The staff were friendly and the service was good. But the room I had, room 1, was above the kitchens and shouldn’t be marketed as a bedroom. Mice from the kitchens, especially around the extractor fans and other appliances, started at 0600 and kept going past 2200. There were also occasional noises at night that woke me up.

We were blown away by how clean and beautiful the rooms were. Even though we’d never stayed at a Marston’s Inn before and had low expectations, it felt like a real hotel. The shower was a problem, though—it was either scalding or freezing.

I booked at the last minute after another hotel let us down, and they pulled off a great rescue. The front desk staff were polite and checked us in super fast. Our rooms were solid, and the restaurant service was smooth—food looked amazing. I’d definitely recommend it, especially with the free parking perk. Loved everything.

The Sunday meal was terrible, the staff were rude, and I’d recommend staying away from eating there.
