The large suite was very beautiful and tastefully decorated in a charming house, perfectly located in the city center. The pool and spa were much appreciated during the heatwave. Public parking was in front of the accommodation, and we were able to park our bikes inside the house, protected. Our host was very friendly and shared the history of the house. The air conditioning was very noisy, so we had to turn it off.

The interior was very attractive if you entered through the main door. The suite was nicely done, but unfortunately it wasn’t suitable for us. We had to climb eighty stairs to reach the apartment, and eighteen of those were very steep. The ceilings were very sloped, preventing us from getting into bed. We swapped rooms so that one person could stay in the double bed room and two people slept in the 'children's room'. There was no washing machine, even though it had been advertised. One bathroom had only half a toilet roll. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly, and two of the fans were also broken, so it was hot on the top floor. The bedroom door knobs fell off, and we couldn’t close the door.

The location and setting are very pretty. The number of stairs is quite significant (about 65 steps) and we weren’t warned about that. Breakfast was very good, but it was a shame that we had to clear the table and remove the food from under our noses before finishing, and that we had to pay for breakfast before we were done, and that we had to go back up during breakfast to get what we needed to pay for – not very classy.

The host’s welcome, the roomy bedroom, the high‑quality bedding, and the house’s décor all impressed me.

The location is beautiful and full of character, the rooms are gorgeous, and the host is incredibly friendly! The town of Vichy is worth a stop‑over for 1 or 2 days.
