The two‑person room was roomy and the location was fairly quiet with easy parking. However, the kitchen tiles were dirty, the freezer compartment wasn’t defrosted, and we had to scrape the pressure cooker to cook vegetables. We also had to cut the gas supply because of a strong smell under the sink. The kettle wouldn’t stay on the boil, and the double bed mattress was stained and unprotected by a cover. Some sheets and a pillowcase had been left in the washing machine, washed and still damp. We added freshly washed but still odorous bath towels to our own laundry. We did our best to leave the place as clean as possible, but each guest could do a little better.
