The only bright spot was the economical price. The flat itself was in poor condition: the fridge didn’t work, there was no water boiler as advertised, and cleanliness was only average for the price. The owner was creepy, dropping by 3–4 times a day to check on the place. I paid for a room for two people but received a 2 m × 2 m room with a rolling bed that should have had a private door; the owner kept opening the door to check, yet I stayed alone the entire trip and wanted my own space. He insisted on chatting and having tea, which I didn’t want. I paid 95 % of the rent and promised to send the rest in a few days while waiting for the transfer. Suddenly, at 6 am, he opened the door, went straight to my bed, and demanded my money—five hours before check‑out—threatening to call the police and giving me one hour to leave or face police action. I asked why, and he said I hadn’t paid the remaining 120 Egyptian pounds of the 1320 pound total. I told him it was wrong and his behavior unacceptable, so he accused me of not using the correct bed. I had paid for two beds for two adults. I sent him the rest of the money and a screenshot of the transaction, but he never apologized or confirmed receipt. Overall, there was no privacy, no service, and a rude owner—do not recommend.
