“フロントの人は親切。しかし1泊120ユーロなら納得だが230ユーロではおすすめしません。”
The location is superb! Around the hotel you can find lively cafés and restaurants that stay open until late, and even a food shop that operates deep into the night. During my stay I moved from the center of Paris to the north at Lavilliers Park and to the south at Pont de Sèvre, and both Comartin and Madeleine stations were just a 2–3 minute walk away, which was incredibly convenient. The facilities were sparse and dated, which was disappointing. The fridge was tiny and its door was hard to open, so it didn’t keep things cold well. There was no coffee maker or kettle, so I couldn’t brew tea in the room. The only toiletries were shampoo and liquid soap bottles fixed to the bathroom wall. There was no full-length mirror; the only one was a small one on the furniture that only reflected my upper body. The desk lamp was almost burnt out and dim. I had never seen a hotel in about twenty years that required you to leave the key at the front desk when you go out (laughs). Talking to the front desk staff was enjoyable but a bit tedious. I wouldn’t have minded the price if it had been cheaper, but the price had spiked because of the Céline Dion Paris show, and city hotels were sky‑high, which was the real issue.
