The location and ensuite feel like a good value, but the cleanliness left to be desired: the kettle needs replacement, the shower doors are broken, the missing door caused water leaks and damaged the floorboards, making the bathroom unhygienic, and the noise level from other guests was high.

I liked the location, plush and upmarket. I booked as I always do and paid online, fine, but when I got to the place the owner demanded I pay an extra R100, which I eventually gave because it was too late to find another place. The owner even told me to cancel my booking and leave. The worst part was the false advertising: the pictures online show something very different from what you see on arrival. The linen was creamish instead of white, and there was no water glass in the room for when you’re thirsty or want to rinse your teeth. The rooms were stinky and stuffy. I suggest the owners stop posting misleading photos; it’s damaging the image of the place. I would never recommend this spot even to my worst enemy.

It was quiet, but when I was grabbing a glass I noticed cameras inside the house and felt like I was doing something wrong, and the carpet in the room was a bit of a mess.
