The apartment feels newly renovated, spacious, and impeccably clean, and the rooftop-style view over Madrid is a major perk. It has two separate large rooms, each with its own bathroom; one room features a dining table with two big couches, while the other offers a seating area for six. The entrance is odd because the building is a converted business center, so stepping in feels unusual. The layout is non‑standard, with two large spaces linked by a hallway. Check‑in was done entirely via WhatsApp, and the door opened through an app‑controlled electronic lock that felt insecure at night, as it can be opened silently and remotely; there’s no mechanical latch to guarantee it’s locked. This made us uneasy both while sleeping and when leaving the apartment. In November the heaters didn’t work, leaving the place freezing cold, and we only got a response the next morning. The owners supplied two brand‑new electric heaters the following day and also left Nespresso capsules to compensate for the inconvenience. After checkout the owner sent photos of some damaged items that we didn’t cause, claiming they might have happened during our stay; the mention that they would “take it into consideration” felt uncomfortable.
