I stayed in a cozy room at a lovely spot in Putten, just a stone's throw from the woods and easily reachable by public transport; the walk from the train station (or bus) is also very scenic. B&B owner Annette is incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious with many options, and you can order on demand so nothing goes to waste. I knew beforehand that the night-time bathroom trip would involve a steep staircase, so that's a heads‑up for anyone with mobility issues; it also takes a moment for the shower to heat up, which might be more annoying in winter than it was for me now.
