The atmosphere was miserable, one of the two rooms was tiny. The bathroom was just a shower cabin with nothing else! The kettle and microwave were in a dirty basement room with no basic equipment. It was noisy: you could hear the shower and neighbours’ voices.

The bed was good and the shower had been renovated. The kitchen, which isn’t shown in the photos, was very dirty and the appliances were also filthy, as were all the cabinets. I don’t understand the mats in a shared toilet; it’s quite unhygienic. It would be better if the rooms had a wardrobe, and the walls were very dirty.

A room placed very well, and the manager was very friendly.

The bed was comfy and the place was quiet. We booked a room with a private bathroom, but the shower didn’t work for three days, and the accommodation clearly needs a serious renovation—everything feels very cheap and poorly maintained.

The spot is spot on—just a short walk to the underground, shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, and only 10 minutes on foot to Tower Bridge. I never met the host; we only exchanged necessary texts, which was a bit disappointing.
