We stayed at Udawalawe Wild Safari Resort and it was absolutely fantastic; from the moment we arrived the staff welcomed us and ensured our comfort. The rooms were clean, spacious, and fully equipped. The resort sits very close to Udawalawe National Park, making early‑morning safaris hassle‑free. The safari organized by the hotel was one of the best we’ve ever had; our driver was punctual, knowledgeable, and respectful of the wildlife. We saw many elephants, water buffalo, deer, crocodiles, peacocks, and a variety of beautiful birds, feeling like a real adventure that was also safe and well‑managed. After the safari, returning to the calm, natural surroundings of the resort was the perfect way to unwind. We enjoyed delicious local food and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. If you’re planning a visit to Udawalawe, I highly recommend this place – it’s ideal for families and solo travelers seeking an authentic and comfortable safari experience.
