The location was perfect, but during the shower the shower head’s hanging rod fell off. After showering, water from the adjacent shower leaked into the room and seeped under the baseboard.

The proximity to public transport, good bus connections to the U and S, and always accessible via key box were positives; the bed was clean, there’s an extra bathroom and a shared kitchen, and the overall atmosphere was friendly. When I arrived, a nice lady had cleaned the room because I hadn’t received any message about which room I had or the code. The PIN wasn’t the key code. The surfaces and seams in my room were quite shabby and somewhat unappetizing; there was mold in and above the shower, poorly executed sealants, etc. The towel was damp; there was no shower mat or hand towel. The room door had to be locked, otherwise it would have stayed open, and the bathroom door hardware was also defective. The room (No. 1, I was alone) was crowded with 4 beds and a small fridge, and I barely had access to a window. The blinds had frayed edges, no insect screen. When it rained, water drummed loudly on something. Outside the house is currently under construction, maybe it will be renovated. I slept well, but I wasn’t excited about the accommodation.

There’s no breakfast available for an extra fee. Around the building is construction material or rubble; only the driveway is clear. The building is under full renovation, and only a few rooms are usable. In my last booking, my room had only a working sink; the toilet wasn’t installed and the shower wasn’t connected, and it was dirty with construction debris. Even on Saturday evening there was still construction noise from the stem work. Nothing in the listing reflects these conditions. I booked a room with its own bathroom and toilet but had to use the toilet one floor lower.

“Komme am kommenden Wochenende noch einmal.”

The place doesn’t include breakfast, which is a downside. The setting is quiet and the public transport links are good. The building is still under final construction, but it didn’t bother me much.

“Ich würde unter gleichen Bedingungen wieder im Hostel Amansa übernachten.”

The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped with a fridge and kettle. It had its own shower and toilet and the location was quiet. The owner was friendly and extended my stay by one night at short notice because of my request. My small dog was also allowed to stay. Parking was limited to a maximum of three cars, but after speaking with the owner I was able to rent an extra parking spot, so everything worked out fine.
