The staff were friendly and helpful, though they can't control that the rooms have carpeted floors, which bring moisture and mites. We stayed about 15 years ago at Terracotta and remembered good experiences there. The carpeted floors are a major source of pests like bugs and fleas, and we were infested, couldn't sleep, and had to change rooms; this infestation will become a bigger problem for the hotel.

We stayed in room 5302, a loft with a garden view, and we were thrilled. The staff welcomed us warmly, were attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Initially we considered a lake‑view villa that cost almost twice as much, but after checking in we realized we’d made the right choice. The loft had two huge French‑style windows: one faced a picturesque lake, the other a beautiful flower garden, offering a stunning view. The room itself was very roomy, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, with a comfortable bed, bathrobes, a full set of toiletries, tea, coffee, and an umbrella—everything needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear the hotel truly cares about its guests. The overall atmosphere was calm, without the noise, bustle, and crowds common at many resorts. The grounds were large, well‑maintained, and very pretty. Along the lake there were lounge areas with swings and benches where you can relax and enjoy nature. A separate highlight was the pine forest surrounding the property; the air was filled with pine scent, noticeably cooler than the city, making it easy to breathe without much air conditioning. There was a pool, though we didn’t swim, but we saw that the children loved it. If someone is choosing between a pricey lake‑view villa and a loft, I’d confidently recommend the loft. Room 5302 exceeded all our expectations and proved an excellent value. We’ll definitely return and happily recommend Terracotta Hotel to friends and acquaintances. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

The place was quiet and fresh, though a few guests in other rooms were noisy in the hallway after 10 pm.
