The communication was outstanding: someone was always reachable, either the very friendly owner Ella herself or someone from her equally kind and helpful family. If anything was needed, it was taken care of. The accommodation itself was great—a personally run house on a quiet side street off the main road, all tastefully and well maintained, with a large beautiful shared courtyard. The promenade of the small, lively town and the great city beach are just a 10‑minute walk away, with crystal‑clear water—perfect for relaxing and as a base to explore Salento. Thanks to Ella, Chiara, and their nice father who is always supportive. No complaints, just a couple of things to know: breakfast is an authentic Italian spread (1 cappuccino or hot drink of choice, water, 1 orange juice, and 1 croissant or other pastry) served on the bar terrace of the leading restaurant on the promenade, great to sit with a sea view. If you value having a window open at night, like me, I recommend the interior rooms with their own atrium, not the triple‑bedroom rooms with balconies. Those have access from the street via the balcony and a sliding door that doubles as the window front. You don’t have to worry about safety; it’s a nice neighborhood, but the owner also requests that the door be kept closed. No worries: the air conditioning works great.
