I booked a 5‑night stay and then added 4 more nights because the place was so good. The bed was comfy, the room was a decent size, and it had a separate toilet and shower, a TV, and a fridge. Breakfast was unforgettable, served right outside my door with a view of the river. The location was great, and the staff kept our large backpacks safe for 3 nights while we traveled to Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoy. No complaints at all.

The place is close to the city centre and the price is reasonable. The breakfast was not tasty, the tours they offered were only the pricey ones, and the taxi they suggested to the airport was also expensive.

Set on a quiet stretch of the Mekong where the river bends, the view is lovely and very calming; a short climb brings you to a spot where you can see almsgivers and reach the main street, making the location superb. It’s ideal for anyone who wants a relaxed stay rather than a noisy vibe, and the price suited me so well that I extended my visit to six nights. Breakfast was good, and although most rooms lack windows, the space in front of the door is comfortable and you can see the Mekong if you leave the door open. The room size was just right, clean, and the air‑conditioning worked great.

The place is super convenient, overlooking the river, just behind the main street, and within walking distance of the main temples and the night market. The cleaning and breakfast staff were wonderful—so sweet and shy, it was always a pleasure to see them. I liked sitting on my balcony. The only real issue was the lack of a view from the back of the room. I also had a door problem and got locked out; the double‑door bolt from the inside slipped and fell into a hole when I closed one door. The front‑desk lad fixed that bolt after 30 minutes so I could re‑enter. That should be fixed because it could happen again. Plus, there was always a mosquito in my room; Lao mosquitoes are lazy and don’t seem hungry, but having bug spray or something would help.
