“Tropo caro per lo che offre”

The location was fine. It’s too expensive for what it offers. The owner clearly treats it like a retirement home, so nothing has been renovated in at least 20 years. On top of that, you have to endure the owner’s rambling about Morocco as if you were in Switzerland. The staff are friendly but not professional. The manager can’t even give you 50 MAD in change, and there’s water in the room that isn’t warned about. We’ve certainly stayed in better, cheaper accommodations!

“FANTASTIQUE PLACE”

We fell in love with the place; Peter and the whole team made us feel welcome and relaxed, the riad’s décor was gorgeous and it offered plenty of little private nooks, plus the tiny pool was a blissful escape from the heat outside, and the staff arranged taxis and a trustworthy tour to Essaouira; the bed was comfy, the AC worked when we needed it, there was abundant natural light and a private terrace for reading or lounging. The only thing I’d suggest is a more thorough mopping of the floor to keep dust at bay and a bit of work on breakfast – fresher bread and more fresh fruit would be ideal. “Prima”

The rooms were authentically furnished with beautiful tiles, old furniture, and mirrors. They were clean and the bed was made daily. The riad’s location relative to the center is truly perfect—walking from the riad you’re everywhere. It’s a 10‑minute walk to Jamaa El Fna. The staff were very friendly and helpful. What we missed in the room was a kettle to brew tea or coffee and a small fridge for soft drinks. There was also no hair dryer, but after asking the host a dryer was brought. It would have been nice to have a bar or something similar for drinks during the day or evening. The breakfast was very simple but otherwise fine.
