Besides having two beds, there was nothing positive to mention; this accommodation is suspended on Booking. From the entrance to the room everything feels like a downgrade – the hallway to the room was cluttered with junk, the room was dirty and dusty, and there was no breakfast offered.

The room was clean, the furnishings were simple but functional, and the bed – especially the mattress – was very good. The entrance is not very appealing; the hallway gives the impression of a storage room.

The staff member was surprisingly helpful and guided us to an alternative option, but as soon as you step in, shoes are scattered across the floor, and at that price, with no AC, it felt like an oven. I wouldn't recommend it.

The bakery and breakfast spot next door, plus a lunch and dinner restaurant right beside it, plus a cozy pub inside the house to quench thirst and chat with locals. A gas station, bank and other amenities are a few houses away. The village offers a nice view of Kassel, nearby nature, and a convenient pit stop between Switzerland and Sweden. The gas station doesn't accept international cards, so cash might be required (ATM at the bank). It’s ideal for solo travelers or couples who want simplicity, but not for those seeking more sophisticated options.
