The host is very friendly and the location is beyond the tourist crowds. In early May the ground‑floor room in the old villa was still very cold and damp, which was uncomfortable for me as a rheumatologist. I also felt there was insufficient lighting everywhere. Things might be different in summer.

The flat feels more like an atelier than accommodation. The welcoming owner lives in another room of the flat. The garden is quite nice and quiet, good for meditation. A huge glass panel creates a light spot on the roof that hangs over my bed, making me constantly worry “what if it drops on me?” The steps from the upper flat make glass blades jingle. A chest in the room holds old sheets, and the smell coming out of it isn’t pleasant. Large cracks on the walls made me worry.

The place is well situated, very clean and beautifully decorated. The room is large, the bed comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Carlos is very attentive and goes out of his way to make us feel at home. I hope we get a chance to return!
