Galapagos Sunset Hotel

I accidentally dropped the glass soap dish in the bathroom, and when I reported it to reception, they charged me $10! I’ve never been asked to pay for accidentally breaking an item at a place where the nightly rate is already high. If that’s the hotel’s policy, maybe they shouldn’t use glass. It surprised me, and details like this can make you not want to return. The rest of the stay was very good.

“Overall nice”

The front desk was very helpful, but breakfast options are limited and some amenities, like the coffee maker shown in the room, are not actually available.

Excellent location. The room was simple but spacious and comfortable, with the bare essentials. The coffee maker was only for tea; no coffee. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel offers only the basics, no special attractions, and no items beyond the room with a side balcony. Breakfast was simple, with few options, very basic for the price they charge. Internet was poor.
