The hotel is beautiful with pleasant, beautiful rooms, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the pool is wonderfully refreshing, and it sits in a quiet neighborhood right in the center. Everything was fine, except I wished there were more coffee options at breakfast—only a pot of coffee was available.

I couldn’t have imagined a better start to my first days in Cambodia, especially since I had nothing prepared beforehand. BABEL is stunning and confident, the rooms are spacious, and the team is fantastic. It’s a bit out of the way, about 10–15 minutes from the now‑dense, touristy old Siem Reap. I began my temple tour at the quiet, charming, far‑off sites like Bantey Srei, exploring them calmly—sometimes alone—through the Cambodian countryside, and finished at Angkor Wat where the crowds were less intrusive than I expected.

The hotel is a very nice small place; the staff cared for us superbly, and they organized the excursions in an excellent way.
