“Excellent breakfast”

The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was a decent size with an ensuite. There was a good selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, and milk. The breakfast was gorgeous, the best I’ve had. On Friday evening I had a meal in the bar that was lovely with generous portions. The ensuite had no hot water, and the privacy screen in the bathroom was peeling off.

“Very useful central location for this part of Cornwall and Wadebridge itself”

The location is central in town. Evening meals offered a good menu selection, high‑quality ingredients, excellent cooking, and great value. The dining room felt chilly for me, and I would have liked fruit, yoghurt, and nuts available at breakfast.

“Very friendly staff and great value for money.”

Great value for money and an excellent location for the camel trail. The place is clean. I’m not sure if there was an issue with the toilet system, but it produced a lot of noise!

“Don’t waste your money”

The location was fine, but the photos were misleading; the pub was filthy, with years of grease on the furniture that made me avoid touching or sitting on it. Drug users were obvious, the place looked untidy and not regularly cleaned or maintained, and the upstairs landing and rooms were uncomfortably hot. The air‑con unit was old and the instructions were unclear, so I opened the window and saw a pile of cigarette ends. After only 40 minutes of arrival we left for a two‑night stay and booked Hustyns, which is a 10‑minute drive away.
