The base is good for trips to Catania, Taormina, etc., the staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s close to the airport, plus the cats were a bonus and the bed was comfy. The surroundings felt a bit neglected, the jacuzzi was dirty, the pool was covered the whole stay, and a different person checked in every day; on the last day the lights flickered constantly and it was very loud until midnight, which made us uncomfortable. There was no kettle, and the windows faced the corridor, so it stayed quite dark. The location is okay for a quick visit, but not for a longer stay to relax. Nothing nearby except the only pizzeria we found, Pizzinka, which serves great pizza.
