“Good choice in Shanghai”
The hotel is famous and historic, right in front of People’s Park with several subway lines and the start of E Nanjing Road, and the staff were very polite; the room and especially the bathroom could be larger, still needing a bit more refurbishing (you can hear water running from the next door), and the breakfast had good food but not enough tables, forcing one to share a table with strangers.

The location and historical vibe were good, but the staff need to realize that history alone won’t carry you far; China is changing and they must embrace tourism and be more considerate of outsiders.
