We stayed in one of the barrels (no other option left) and even though it was tiny, the four of us slept wonderfully. The complex is fine, the indoor pool is a plus, and the restaurants serve plenty of good food. They give you a breakfast basket around 8:30 am that’s pretty good. We had a dry toilet next to the barrel, which was great for emergencies or nighttime. However, the public shower bathrooms were very shabby and could use better maintenance.

“Onvergetelijk verblijf!”

An unforgettable night in the treehouse was a highlight. From start to finish we enjoyed the treehouse, the private parking nearby, and the entire estate’s facilities (large indoor pool, outdoor pool, zip lines, obstacle course…). There’s something for everyone. The treehouse lacks water or electricity but has a dry toilet; you can also use a sanitation block if preferred. We slept with four people in the Birdy treehouse, which had two huts, each with comfortable beds. Breakfast was nice with croissants, orange juice, hot drinks, ciabatta… Nothing was lacking; everything was top. It was our most expensive accommodation for a night on our Normandy road trip, but the price was definitely worth it when you see what’s included.
