The staff, the food, and the location were all good, in that order, but it was still worth the price, especially during low season. For someone who doesn’t mind being in the hotel room, the room was small, rough, and had a wall right outside the windows, offering zero view.

The room was close to the beach road, had an elevator, was wide and bright, and the front, restaurant, and cleaning staff were all professional, friendly, and sincere. The king bed was large, and the mattress, pillows, futon, and sheets were all clean and comfortable. There was a sofa that could double as a bed, a fridge, and a pot. The toilet was generally good, but the shower was high and had low pressure, which was a disappointment. The drainage was poor, so the floor got a little wet, and there was some odor in the toilet and drainage, probably because the building is old, but cleaning resolved it. Cleaning happened every three days. Towels, toilet paper, and water were provided daily at the front desk. The balcony was comfortable, and after staying six nights I’d definitely come back. The balcony had no partition or privacy screen, so when I hung laundry it was fully visible to the neighbor, who seemed to be smoking something that smelled oddly on the balcony and that odor even reached the interior, making me worry about the laundry. Because the neighbor stayed on the balcony for most of the time, I couldn’t use the balcony myself, which was frustrating.

I keep coming back to Happy Beach because the rooms stay spotlessly clean, and the air fresheners in the bathrooms keep the place smelling fresh—something I appreciate since drains can sometimes bring up odors. The value of this small guest house is fantastic: comfy beds, a big TV, and a balcony. The restaurant is worth mentioning too; the meals are tasty, well‑presented, and consistently good. The staff genuinely care about both the guests and the property. I did have to stay at a 5‑star hotel for a night while Happy Beach was fully booked, and that 5‑star fell far short of its rating, whereas Happy Beach, a 3‑star, outshines it in every way. Anyone visiting should have a similar experience—there’s no reason they wouldn’t.
