The owners were incredibly kind, the meals were mouth‑watering, the rooms were warm and spotless, and the rural setting was perfect—we loved falling asleep to the frogs’ chorus; I keep stressing how friendly the owners were, making this a wonderful first stop on our journey, and we look back on it with a lot of feeling and nostalgia.

The host greeted us warmly and was generous, the meals were tasty and plentiful, and we enjoyed a very comfortable and cozy stay; I can’t think of any negatives.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even driving us to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The room had a cozy little heater that kept us warm, and we slept great on the futons. The exterior was beautifully snow-covered, and we felt right at home. However, the exterior facilities were freezing, and I was hesitant to use the onsen (hot spring) because it was just too chilly to get changed afterwards.

The service was top-notch, but the steep staircase and the fact that the bathroom was on a lower floor were a bit of a hassle.
