The breakfast was amazing, the location great, and Dan the owner was absolutely helpful and friendly. Checking‑in time wasn’t great but understandable, and WiFi reception wasn’t the best.

Conveniently located, a 5‑minute walk to shops and restaurants. The B & B was well kept; our top‑floor room had everything we needed. It was small, so we had to shimmy around the bed and squeeze into the shower, but we weren’t there to be in the room. The big English breakfast served in the dining room was great and well cooked. The friendly owner and her son did a great job looking after us. I had been looking forward to visiting Harrogate for the first time, but I was a wee bit let down by the town; it wasn’t the rain and wind, it just wasn’t as “happening” as I had expected. Nice gardens, some nice architecture, and we tried restaurants that were just ok. Won’t be rushing back, certainly not a poor reflection on the Franklin; it was perfect for our visit.
