The place exudes a cozy country idyll with a beautifully kept property full of plants, and the coffee bar is definitely a highlight. The owner is very friendly, dropping water and cookies daily. However, it’s already quite old; we thought the cabins were new, but they’re only new on Booking. The huts are rather aged and a bit worn. The bathroom leaks continuously, leaving the floor perpetually wet, and there’s no wardrobe for storage. It’s really a bit outside Chiang Rai; we wanted peace, but that could have been found in the small town too. The frogs here croak EXTREMELY loudly, so we always had to take a scooter or a cart 15 minutes in. It would have been easier and cheaper to stay more centrally.
