The location was right in town and close to restaurants, which was perfect, especially since my husband was racing in the Karoo to Coast Cycling event. The guesthouse itself was nice, with comfortable and spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nothing negative to report.

Everything was great – the position, the comfort, and the friendly hostess. It was right next door to The Friendly Ghost and across the road from The African Aloe, both offering very good food. No negatives.

The bedroom was beautiful and the modern bathroom was spotless. The garden was lovely. The central spot meant a restaurant was next door for dinner at very reasonable prices, and the breakfast restaurant was just over the road, included in the guest house’s very reasonable rate. We would definitely stay again if ever in Uniondale. The single entrance into Uniondale from the Willowmore side has severe flood damage and a dodgy detour for a normal sedan; locals told us there’s another entrance further along the N9. The hostess could have mentioned this, knowing we were coming from the Willowmore side, and that would have eased our anxiety.
