“Overall pleasant.”
The place was clean, but the steep, cramped stairs made it hard to bring luggage up; it’s a real challenge.

The location and price were great, but the stairs are a hassle, you have to pass through a barber shop, and the mattress is poor quality with a very creaky bed.

Being in the town centre made pubs, cafés and buses super convenient; the room was a good size, the shower excellent, the bed comfortable, and there was even a small fridge in the room because the shared kitchen was on the floor below. The kitchen is only available after 5 pm, so that’s fine, and parking is free. Two narrow flights of stairs might be an issue for some.

The room was very cosy, well‑appointed, with a good shower, a comfy bed, and a choice of pillows, plus an AC unit. The town was noisy—mid‑heat wave so we kept the windows open, but the vertical blinds blew and street noise from below meant earplugs would have helped; closing the windows would probably solve it. The bed was very squeaky.

The location was good, the space was generous, the bathroom and shower were excellent, and the towels were fine. The church clock and the friendly barbers were nice touches. The stairs were narrow (we didn’t realize there were two sets), and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. We couldn’t use the sugar because it was contaminated with coffee, and loose coffee/sugar/tea bags should never be left out. There was water in the kettle—definitely a no‑no. The fridge froze everything we put in it, and that corner was a mess. The TV had been tampered with and was too dark the first night; we managed to improve it slightly the next day. Wi‑Fi was average. The barbershop and chippy staff were friendly.
