Located in the heart of Megalo Papigo village, Papaevangelou Hotel is a charming, traditionally built property offering warmly decorated rooms with wooden floors and ceilings. The countryside hotel is the most unique, picturesque, and pleasant place you can imagine, set amid a stunning landscape. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is fresh, hearty, and enjoyable. However, after a long, tiring day of driving—plus tricky navigation through the village itself—it was disappointing to find no one at the front desk. I spent an hour wandering around without success, and only after a nearby hotel neighbor called for help did someone finally arrive and hand us the keys. Also, keep in mind that every trip into and out of the village involves a long drive on a very winding road; the nearest village is about a half‑hour drive away.
