Perched above Positano’s quiet shoreline, Hotel Montemare offers air‑conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, many boasting balconies with sweeping views of Positano Bay. Guests dine on Mediterranean specialties and local wines in the family‑run restaurant, while a nearby secluded beach provides tranquil sunbathing. The serene setting and breathtaking sea vistas create an ideal retreat for relaxation.

The hotel’s location was great, and even though Positano has a lot of stairs, the hotel wasn’t too far down, so moving around was fairly easy. The service was amazing, with super friendly staff who helped with everything we needed. However, for over $1,500 a night I expected more: water, spa, and sauna were all extra, breakfast was quite limited, and the room cleaning could have been better. It’s a beautiful hotel, but the overall experience didn’t fully match the price.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our three‑night stay here. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the views were absolutely stunning. Everything was clean and well maintained, and breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The pool and jacuzzis were an added bonus that made the stay even more relaxing. Overall, a truly memorable stay that we would love to repeat.
