The room was great, the shower flow was strong, and a continental breakfast was supplied; the kitchen next door had everything you could need, and waking up to the lovely view each morning was a highlight—thank you so much!

The place is quiet and close to Watervale, and breakfast was decent though we only got one for two nights and had to ask for another. The kitchen was a mess – birds had built nests in the rafters above the counter, leaving droppings everywhere, and it was barely equipped. The key safe didn’t work so we couldn’t lock up, and the bed was basically a spare‑room setup – the quilt was just between sheets and we had to re‑make the bed.

Breakfast was great, and the spot is perfect for exploring the valley vineyards – the view of vines and garden from the room is lovely. The place is spacious, beds comfy, and the staff were clear and helpful. But the heating was a nightmare; it was so cold we had to use aircon, electric heaters, and a wood fire that barely warmed the room, and we kept coats on most of the time. Also, a light over the kitchen counter would have helped when cooking at night.

The place is surprisingly easy to get to from the main road yet still feels like a postcard – the bedroom view is gorgeous. We also loved the goats and other wildlife roaming around. The only gripe was the shower – the floor gets wet right away and there was no mop or anything to keep us from slipping or getting socks wet. Still, a charming stay overall.
