The place sits close to the beach and serves breakfast, but the inn lacks real facilities. The parking lot is tiny and after 22 h you can’t drive out, and there’s no staff on duty to answer questions or help. My room reeked of strong mould, even the sheets smelled, and the air‑conditioner was dead; a WhatsApp message to the owner went unanswered. The owners live on the premises, yet the neighboring house blasted loud music late into the night, keeping us awake, and the owners acted as if they hadn’t heard anything or tried to fix it. Our weekend turned out far from pleasant, so I won’t return or suggest it to friends.

The place is a treat, right by the beach, and they partner with a nearby food stand. What we loved most was the vibe and the owners, who are friendly, helpful, and attentive, making us feel at home.

The location is great, especially for families, because the beach is a short walk away and there are restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and warm, but we were given the wrong password for the entrance, and when the power went out we had no guidance on how the gates would be unlocked; we had to keep calling the lodge. There was no trash bin in the room, so we stored everything in grocery bags and left them on the floor of the closet. The bathroom walls were covered in hair when we arrived, indicating the cleaning was not up to par.

Besides the usual breakfast they also offered a complimentary afternoon coffee that was incredibly elaborate, with fresh, flaky stuffed pastries that were delicious—perfect for families and just 50 m or so from Pernambuco beach. The room received thoughtful touches like Natura soap, shampoo and conditioner. However, the car park is controlled by staff who only work until 22 h, so after that you can’t get in or out, which wasn’t mentioned in the listing and would have deterred me; I only managed to leave at 22:29 min after a staff member made an exception. The pool bathroom never had hand soap throughout our stay, and the lighting in suite 4 was poor, though my daughter’s room on the second floor didn’t have that issue.
