The room was large, the beds were good, it was clean, and parking was convenient. The kitchen was outstanding! Everything else was fine.

“friendly staff but outdated hotel”

The staff were friendly and helpful when possible. Yet, after staying here several years ago, nothing has changed; the place feels tired, dated, and desperately needs updating. The carpets on the stairs are filthy and threadbare, the room furniture is damaged with chips and scratches everywhere, and the bathrooms show obvious wear. The car park looks like a local truck stop filled with white vans and lorries, which erodes confidence. The restaurant menu had changed from what was listed online, and we were told it had been different for a while and the website just wasn’t updated. It’s a shame because the staff really try their best, but the property is in desperate need of modernization.

“Great place to stay if you are visiting Wicklow county”

The room was lovely and spacious, the bathroom was great, breakfast was good, and the evening meals were also good. The music wasn’t quite so loud, but at least it stopped by 11 pm.

The bar‑pub with dining was very good. It was very noisy, with dance parties apparently organized every weekend and the music audible in the rooms.
