The landlady was lovely, and the room was good.

The staff were excellent, the room was clean, there was a TV, and plenty of nearby dining options; the shower and bathroom were great, pub‑style prices were reasonable, and the noise level was moderate. The room had a faint cigarette scent, likely from the downstairs smoking area, which is hard for a non‑smoker like me to ignore.

A tidy, roomy room and staff who were friendly and helpful. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot right outside the hotel, though I can see parking could become an issue for others.
