The staff made us feel like family, which was a nice touch.
The location is spot‑on, right where you can hop off a bus or taxi and still be close to the ancient town’s buzz.
There are plenty of food spots within walking distance, and you have to try the dried apples – they’re delicious.

Quiet spot between the two old towns, perfect for anyone who wants a calm stay. The staff made us feel like family, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the rough road to the front door – hauling luggage over the rocky path was a hassle.
“Lovely and warm stay :)”
I had a great time in Shuhe – the maple leaf hospitality really made it memorable. Sally and Ana were amazing, always smiling and ready to help. The location is spot‑on, right where you can hop off a bus or taxi and still be close to the ancient town’s buzz. It was cold when I arrived, but the room had a heater and an electric blanket that kept me warm. There are plenty of food spots within walking distance, and you have to try the dried apples – they’re delicious.
The host was friendly and had a great voice – we really enjoyed his singing performance. It was a nice touch that made the stay feel more personal.
“sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und ein wunderschönes Zimmer und Haus”
Very friendly staff and a beautiful house. Everything was spot‑on, from the clean rooms to the comfy beds. I left feeling like I’d stayed with friends.
“Lovely people and very nice room”
Sally, the front desk person, speaks great English and is super helpful. The only hiccup was that the hotel isn’t listed on Google Maps, though it does show up on Apple Maps, so you might have to look a bit harder to find it.
