Breakfast was poor with very limited options—no cold meat or cheese, just sweet pastry and bread, not suitable for diabetics. We weren’t informed that the property closes on Saturday nights and reopens on Wednesday; arriving on Saturday and leaving on Wednesday meant we couldn’t dine in the restaurants or drink at the bar during the evenings, leaving us the only guests on the premises and feeling very lonely.

I had a rough night because a neighboring room’s American guest was extremely unpleasant, and it made me think that family rooms might not be suitable for couples due to the connecting door.

The place is fantastic, tucked in the countryside outside Bordeaux, with spacious and clean rooms and good value for money. However, the reception and staff were absent; at night nobody was there, so you didn’t know whom to contact in an emergency. I never received the email with the check‑in instructions, and the breakfast was disappointing both in quality and quantity. A pity.
