The welcome was friendly, and we received a welcome drink in the room with a balcony overlooking green fields in a quiet setting. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the contact with the operator during our stay was superb; we felt at home in this small‑scale hotel. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday, and Seeg Center is 2 km away. The lack of an elevator didn’t bother us.

The location is excellent for exploring the Allgäu by car or bike, and every meal—both breakfast and dinner—was deliciously cooked local food. The hosts were friendly and full of suggestions for things to do and places to visit in the area.

The breakfast was good. The room was never cleaned and there was no air conditioning.

The chef gave great tips for cycling. The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings, which was not clear at the time of booking.

The hotel was a bit tucked away, but still a quiet spot. Along the road a few cars or tractors pass, so nothing annoying. The room, actually an apartment, was large, though the door between rooms was somewhat inconveniently placed. The huge balcony with seating and a table, nicely under a roof, kept us dry. In the morning a rich buffet breakfast with a pot of coffee or tea and the house lady offered cappuccino and eggs any way you like. For us it was great.
