They offered a bike garage, a water dispenser, and a quiet, nice double room that we all liked. You should know it’s geared toward active groups, which the name hints at. At the end of a day trip, we had to climb a bit up the mountain on a bike, but the e‑bike made it easy. Breakfast was good, though the room had a cafeteria vibe that still fit the place.

A small group and I stayed here for a kayak trip on the Altmühl, and the place worked out great for us. It has a youth hostel feel, but everything was spotless and the staff were friendly. The breakfast refills were slow, and the coffee was really bad, but overall we’re not upset; it was still fine.

It’s great that you can use this place as a hotel and there’s parking available. However, there are still single rooms with a 90‑cm bed, which isn’t suitable for me; I’d have to check before booking. I also wish the room had information on Wi‑Fi, breakfast, and check‑out.

Everything was fine, with a view of greenery and quiet. The staff were friendly. It’s a bit outside the city, but that was explained beforehand, and getting there by e‑bike was no problem.
