“Everything and everyone else was nice here.”
The property is clean and the staff at the front desk and the people that cleans the hotel room are really hard. workers, and they are all sweethearts. The only thing I was disappointed with during my stay was the conduct of a maintenance/janitorial employee named Josh. I am a gay male, and Josh made my stay extremely uncomfortable by calling me a homophobic slur. When I told him that I found the comment rude and inappropriate, he responded by saying that if I thought that was rude, I had “much more to come.” I found that statement threatening and completely unacceptable. After I reported the incident, I also felt that I was being treated differently. I normally use the back entrance because I park my vehicle on the back right-hand side of the hotel, but the door was repeatedly locked, which made it difficult for me to come and go through the entrance I normally use. There was also an incident where Josh came to my hotel room and knocked extremely hard on the door. The knocking was so aggressive that it frightened both me and my roommate. The way he approached the room was completely unnecessary and made an already uncomfortable situation even worse. I believe hotel employees should treat every guest with professionalism, courtesy, and respect, regardless of sexual orientation. Unfortunately, my experience with this employee did not reflect those standards
