In Chennai's heat, the room lacked a proper fan and AC, which was totally unexpected.

The property sits in a great spot close to the beach, is well appointed, charming, and clean, and the staff are courteous; it’s also near good vegetarian spots on the ECR. However, there are several stray dogs outside, making a walk to a restaurant down the street or to the beach difficult. I also saw a caretaker sleeping shirtless around 8:00 AM in the front living‑room bay‑window area, and there’s no food on the premises because the chef quit. When it rains, the road outside gets a lot of slush.

The vibe is laidback, the neighborhood is relaxed, there are amazing dining spots nearby, and there’s a beach and an indoor swimming pool. I liked everything, no dislikes.
