Classico Gili Air

I had a great stay at Gili Air – the value for money was excellent. The host who welcomed us was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was also tasty. Honestly, nothing stood out as a problem: everything was clean, pleasant, and exactly what I expected. I recommend it without hesitation. A small heads‑up for those unfamiliar with the island: like many places in Lombok and nearby islands, nighttime prayers can be heard and may wake you. This isn’t specific to this property, just something to keep in mind before you come.

“Bello ma manca di servizio”

La posizione ottima e la struttura molto bella e tenuta bene. La totale assenza di personale e soprattutto il fatto di avere degli orari pre stabiliti (il primo alle 8.30) per la colazione perde di flessibilità. La colazione non era male ma viene preparata da un altra parte e portata da un ragazzo la mattina. Un giorno avevamo un'escursione e abbiamo chiesto di anticipare l'orario ma non è stato possibile, eventualmente l'avrebbero riposta in frigo e avremmo dovuto scaldarla al microonde. Peccato perché il posto è molto bello

The location is excellent, just a few minutes on foot from the port and the central line, but the area is noisy, especially from very young children early in the morning, all day, and at night. The mattress feels a bit firm, and the breakfast comes in a light plastic Tupperware that feels flimsy.

The price‑to‑value is solid, the rooms are spotless, and the water is warm. There’s no hair dryer, the scent was a bit musty, and a lot of flies kept coming in.

The place is perfectly situated and quiet, and the room is really beautiful and welcoming. It’s unfortunate that the staff is completely absent and all communication is via WhatsApp. Breakfast is only served from 8:30, so when we had snorkeling at 8:30 we missed it, but we ate it later in the afternoon.
