I loved the location and the staff, especially Chris and the singer, but the common areas felt worn out and the outdoor furniture in front was unattractive; I also wished they had decaf coffee.

The hotel sits close to town centre, but it’s pricey, needs renovation, and the heating in my room didn’t work; for the cost I expected better accommodation and service.

The restaurant and bar were closed that night, and by 8 am there were no coffee or pastries left for breakfast; I was disappointed that the $50 incidentals charge on my card at check‑in remained, especially since we didn’t use any amenities and paid $300 a night; at least the property is in a great area and I heard the new owner plans renovations.

The room was clean with a great view, the staff were friendly and helpful, but I’d have liked an armbar in the shower stall and coffee for a longer period.
