“Best place we stayed in all trip.”
The room was clean, and there were no issues.
The hotel’s proximity was the main highlight of my visit.
“We won’t be back.”
The only thing that stood out was the location. The room itself was filthy: dead bugs lay on the floor, live spiders crawled up the nightstand, the coffee maker still held old, moldy coffee, the fridge contained a previous guest’s French fries, and the trash can was extremely dirty. When we mentioned this to the front desk, they suggested we bring it up with housekeeping.
“There needs to be better upkeep and the property should be better maintained.”
It was in the town I needed to be in, but the carpet had major stains and I’m not sure when it was vacuumed. A plastic razor cap was on the floor, and I doubt the room was swept. The faucet was wired backward—hot on the right, cold on the left. The website advertised a pool, but you couldn’t swim in it, and there was no ice machine; the front‑desk lady gave me ice, but why was there no working machine? We were woken at 1:00 a.m. by a man yelling, “Help me! Help me!” for about 20 minutes. Is this place secure? Was the neighborhood bad? Breakfast was underwhelming; the only protein was prepackaged sausage biscuits that could be microwaved. The waffle batter ran out and I had to ask for more. The coffee urn was almost empty, forcing me to go to the lobby for coffee.
